Red White and Boom

The skies of Sugar Land skies will light up with colorful pyrotechnics to celebrate America’s Independence Day. This free festival offers plenty of fun including an incredible fireworks display, music, food, vendors, and more.

Enjoy the largest fireworks show in Fort Bend! Get ready for an evening full of patriotic family fun and activities for all ages, coupled with great food and live music! Entertainment and activities will include photo opportunities, vendor booths, and a main stage area featuring a variety of talent. The event will conclude with a dazzling fireworks display at approximately 9 p.m.

For those unable to attend the event in-person, the fireworks show will be livestreamed via the Sugar Land Parks Facebook page.

What Not to Bring

Do not bring any large item that won’t fit on the shuttle or will be difficult to load off and on the shuttle.

Prohibited Items:

  • Illegal substances.
  • Drugs or drug paraphernalia.
  • Laser pointers and air horns.
  • Drones and/or remote-controlled aircraft.
  • Cigarettes, cigars or pipes. Smoking is prohibited at Crown Festival Park.
  • Glass.
  • Fireworks of any kind, including sparklers.
  • Pets are allowed on leashes only. Owners are responsible for picking up after their pets.

Event Parking

Onsite Event Parking

  • Limited parking will be available and will fill up quickly. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 6 p.m.
  • The paved lots will be available for those with handicap and parking permits.
  • The fair weather lot (grass parking) will be available for general parking.

Shuttle Service Available

A free shuttle service will be available to attendees and is strongly encouraged. Shuttles will run continuously from 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. All shuttle traffic will halt for the launching of our fireworks from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. No coolers are allowed on the shuttle and attendees are encouraged to pack lightly.

University of Houston-Sugar Land (14000 University Blvd, 77479)

Attendees should plan ride-sharing and taxi transportation arrivals / departures to and from the University of Houston-Sugar Land. Once there, attendees may ride the shuttle to the event site.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Do I need a ticket to enter?
A: No, tickets are not required.

Q: Where should I park?
A: We encourage attendees to take the shuttle to avoid traffic delays. Shuttle services are available at The University of Houston-Sugar Land. Uber and taxis are also welcome to drop off passengers at the University of Houston.

Q: Are personal coolers or outside food and beverages permitted?
A: No coolers or outside food or beverages will be allowed.

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: The event will take place rain or shine. Cancellation will only take place if there are severe thunderstorms and/or lightning during the time of the event.

Q: Can I bring my own food and BBQ pit?
A: Food trucks and various vendors will be offering an assortment of food and beverage options including sandwiches, soda, wine and beer for purchase. Event attendees strongly encouraged to purchase food from the onsite vendors. Personal BBQ pits are not allowed onsite.

Q: What time should I arrive?
A: In our efforts to maximize the guest experience we strongly suggest arriving at the event early. Gates open at 6 p.m. Expect traffic delays closer to the time of fireworks. All shuttle traffic will halt for the launching of our fireworks from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Q: Will transportation be offered to reach the festival from parking locations?
A: Yes, buses will shuttle attendees from and to designated parking areas from 6 p.m. until 12 a.m.

Q: Are folding chairs and canopies permitted?
A: Yes. You can bring your own blankets, chairs, and canopies. Canopies are allowed but must be set up away from the stage so that others can view the stage.

Q: Are attendees required to wear masks?
A: Masks are required on the shuttle buses per the shuttle operator.
