What to Expect

The City is committed to providing high quality services. It is important to understand that you will remain under the jurisdiction of your respective Districts and will continue to receive services as provided by your Districts until December 12, 2017. However, if there are any questions and or concerns related to the City, just email annexation@sugarlandtx.gov.

The City provides quality services while maintaining one of the state’s lowest tax rates. This has always been a priority for the City of Sugar Land.

The City is committed to excellence in the delivery of public services for current residents, as well as its future residents who live in the Greatwood and New Territory communities.
Residents of New Territory and Greatwood will continue to receive the same quality services to which they are accustomed, and most will experience an overall annual savings and increased services in areas such as public safety, zoning, traffic control, regulatory oversight, street/sidewalk repair and comprehensive planning.

Annexation will occur at no cost and no reduction of any city services to existing residents.
