  1. Smart Financial Centre as Parking Location

    Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land and Constellation Field will be utilized as parking locations for a third-party, private group's special event planned at a local community center on Monday.

    The parking lots will be used to shuttle participants by bus to and from the event early in the morning and early afternoon prior to rush-hour traffic. Sugar Land police do not expect traffic problems, as the parking and shuttle operation will occur at non-peak traffic times; however, each venue has contracted off-duty police officers to assist if needed.

Notice of Adopted 2017 Tax Rate

The City of Sugar Land adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will
effectively be raised by 3.29 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $8.86.
Please note the above language is required by state law and refers only to the maintenance and operations portion of the tax rate.
The total 2017 adopted tax rate of $0.31762 is effectively a 1.5% increase over the 2016 tax rate.
